Been out of a relationship for a few months now and looking to see whats out there. Seems everyone I know, knows other people I know, and just looking for a fresh start. Hi, I'm Joe. I'm currently a 2nd year medical student/doctor in training in downtown chicago. But if I could pick my best day, it would be cooking a beautiful gourmet meal, accompanied by a great wine followed by cuddling up under a blanket by a fireplace (movie or not I guess thats up for debate) just for that special someone. When I meantioned that I bake, I don't mean just cookies and stuff. I bake everything from scratch including breads, cakes, cookies, pies, etc. Mostly though I do cakes. I guess I could be considered a semi-professional cake decorator. I certainly don't make my living off of it, but I do get paid to make birthday, wedding, special occasion cakes once in awhile. I guess the most important thing about me, because it is really my whole life, is my son. He was born in October 2008 and he is a cutie. I love theatre, dance and music. In fact I spend quite a bit of my free time working on community theatre productions. I work back stage and on stage. Backstage I've worked as assistant director, choreographer, stage manager, sound designer, props manager, sound crew, light crew and set crew. On stage I've had walk on parts as well as leads. I love musicals, but I'll also perform in straight plays. I could talk about theatre for extended periods of time, but I understand that it's not everyone's favorite topic, so when I'm with friends and/or dates that have no interest in theatre I try to keep my theatre talk to a minimum. The same goes for movies. My family and I bond best after seeing a play or movie. It gives us a chance to discuss and critique.

I just recently got a new job (3/18/09). I was so thrilled to be working again after 5 months of unemployment! Woo hoo!!! Though I've been there for about 10 months, I am still temping. I am hoping to be permanent soon, and I am told there are many people campaigning for me to receive permanent employment, but there's got to be someone somewhere that is fighting it because I'm still in the same temping position I've been in since I got there.

The flash of lightning streaked past the moon lit June sky like a bullet fired from a pistol. Of course not believing that guns do not have a need in today's modern day society this is just conjecture. Lighting a cigarette and listning to NPR in the drivers sear of my four door sedan patiently awaiting the truck ahead to move foward, I catch a glimpse of the goldenrod moon breaking through the summer storm clouds and hear acrunch quickly preceeded by a jolt ejecting the aforemetioned cigarette on to the dash. Strong odors surround as pain radiates through my body, damn and ouch.
After two months of eating the wonderful narcotics prescribed to trick the pain region of my brain into believing everything was ok the surgery was set. I was gonna miss the vicodin and xanax, I mean when else can doing nothing but watch tv be a truly wonderful experience? My body seemingly cut in half and sewn back together with a few pieces of hardware inmy spine the wonderful task of physical therapy begins. First, learn how to walk, then stretch, and then a great deal of other physical tasks that had at one time been second nature. Now emotionally, mentally, and painful months, this has been my life, but if anything many things have been put into perspective. This has been my life, not looking for sympathy, don't need it, just needed a self-summary.
Just got cleared to work again so thats exciting, so I figured maybe getting back into the dating thing should also be included in that equation. Fully functioning college graduate that loves to read, watch movies, go to museums, drink coffee and wine, and makeup random stories of people I see out in public.
There are many other things I could include as to what I am looking for or want, but if I have not bored, scared, or annoyed you by feeling I am looking for pity then please continue. Come and drink my elixir that you will find exotic yet familiar, opportunistic with a slight twist of caution, and always honest and chivalrous.

Ok, Iâ??m here trying to find love. Foolish? Perhapsâ?¦. but Iâ??m not giving up hope that there is someone is perfect for me. Iâ??ll just keep turning over rocks until I find you. However, it would also be nice to meet some new friends around where I live. It gets old having to drive all the way into the city to hang out with friends.

Some people say Iâ??m a perfectionist, but I prefer to say I strive to make myself a better person. I believe in being someone you can count on. When I give my word, I keep it. I canâ??t be the only person out there that lives up to what they say they are.

Iâ??m a very diverse person who could survive in the country or the city. Take me to see a hockey game or a symphony. I have lots of different interests and even if I donâ??t get the chance to do everything I would like to do right now, someday Iâ??ll will get to it.
